Asset Detail
Overview
The Asset Detail page is a comprehensive view of a single asset — its preview, metadata, and a set of tools (tabs) tailored to the asset type.
Preview & Information
The left side shows the asset's preview image (hover to upload or drag a new one). The info panel shows name, code, description, status, category, type, and type-specific fields. Click the edit icon to change metadata, and the Asset Playbook button to set standing guidance for how the Assistant should treat this asset (see the Playbooks topic).
Use the collapse icon at the right of the breadcrumb bar to fold the preview and info cards away and give the tools the full page — the asset's name, type, and status stay pinned at the top. Your choice is remembered. With the panel open, the same pinned strip appears as soon as you scroll past it, so the breadcrumb and asset identity are always in view.
Tools (Tabs) are customizable
Tabs are driven by the asset type and can be tailored per asset — use + Add tool to add one, the × on a tab to remove it, and drag to reorder. Your changes persist. Available tools include:
- Files — browse and manage the asset's files; upload via the widget
- Commit — file version control (desktop): set up a repo if needed, then status, commit, push (see File Status & Commit)
- Properties — the asset's metadata: structured fields from the type's schema plus your own custom fields. Click a value to edit; it saves as you go. Under Custom, use + Add field to add a name/value pair, click a name to rename it, hover for clear/remove
- Assets — assets linked to this one, with a picker and a per-link context label (the same view a shot uses for its breakdown); a "Used in" section below lists the assets that link to this one, e.g. every shot a character appears in
- Tasks — the asset's tasks as cards on the left; select a card to read and add that task's notes on the right
- Notes — collaboration notes and activity
- Generate — kick off generation scoped to this asset
- History — generation history via the queue
- Published — every Published take on the asset as a version ladder per stream: version, file, who published it and when, and the publish note (click it to edit). Preview a take, jump to its folder, or unpublish it (status back to New). Pin lists every cut clip that uses this asset: click a clip to pin it to this take (click again to release it to latest), or pin or release them all at once — the same pin the editorial version picker sets. Shots, characters, locations and generic assets start with it
- Activity — a log of what has happened to the asset, newest first and grouped by day: files added, publishes with their notes, generations and edits (with the takes they produced and what they were made from), failed or running generation jobs, dailies submissions, tasks, notes and links. Filter chips narrow it to one kind; click a take to open it. Derived from Loft's own records, so history that predates the tab is already there
- Submissions — dailies submissions (for daily assets)
- Editorial / Editorial Files — cut assembly and rendered outputs (for cut assets; see Editorial)
- Gallery — a large-thumbnail view of the asset's items
- Train — LoRA training config (for LoRA assets)
