Desktop App
Download the Loft desktop app for macOS, Windows or Linux. It gives the web apps access to your local machine — real folders, real files, no browser upload dance.
Installing
- Pick the download for your operating system — the page highlights the one that matches your machine.
- Run the installer and sign in with the same account you use here.
- Signing in with Google opens your web browser. If you're already signed in there, confirm the account with Continue; otherwise sign in as usual. Loft Desktop finishes on its own.
- The web apps detect it automatically once it's running.
- Updates download in the background and apply the next time you start the app. An Update ready button appears in the header when one is waiting; the account menu shows your version and has Check for updates.
- Need a second window? Use the new-window button next to Back/Forward in the apps, the New window item in your account menu, or Ctrl+N (⌘N on Mac). Links that open a new tab still go to your web browser.
Updates
The app checks for updates on its own and installs them after verifying the signature on each release, so you stay current without re-downloading from this page.
Note: If a download link doesn't work, the build for that platform hasn't been published yet — the page only lists what's actually available.
