# Crew

## Overview

The Crew page is where you manage your team members. Each crew member has a profile with their role, rates, group assignments, and availability information.

## Crew Profiles

Each crew member profile includes:

-   Name, initials, and contact information
-   Role and title within the organization
-   Group assignments (department, division, location)
-   Rate information: salary, bid rate, and loaded rate
-   Currency for rate calculations
-   Availability and working schedule

## Rates and Costs

Crew member rates are the foundation of all cost calculations in LOFT Resource:

-   Salary (Rate) — The base cost of employing this person per day
-   Bid Rate — The rate charged to clients for this person's time
-   Loaded Rate — The fully loaded cost including benefits, overhead, and taxes

Note: Changes to crew rates will affect future cost calculations but will not retroactively change historical cost data.

## Adding Crew Members

-   Click the add button to create a new crew member
-   Fill in their profile information and rate details
-   Assign them to the appropriate groups
-   They will immediately be available for assignment in the Role Planner
