# My Organizations

Every organization you belong to, with your role in each. An organization is a customer account — its own isolated database, its own members, its own plan.

## Owner or member

**Owner**

Invites and removes people, assigns seats, buys plans and changes settings. Sees the Members, Plan, Billing and Settings tabs.

**Member**

Opens the apps their seat unlocks. Sees only the organization's overview — billing and the member list stay with the owner.

## Creating an organization

1.  Click Create Organization and give it a name and a short code.
2.  The code identifies it everywhere — in URLs and in app links — so keep it short and permanent.
3.  The organization is provisioned with its own database, and you become its owner.

Note: The code can't be changed after creation. Pick something you'll still be happy with in a year.
