# Workflow: Generate & Iterate a Shot

## Goal

Produce a shot (or any image/video) and refine it until you have a take worth keeping.

## Steps

-   Open the Assistant (header button) and describe what you want — e.g. "a wide establishing shot of the city at dusk." Or use the Image Builder (/builder) for a focused generation workspace, or the Flows canvas to wire inputs into operations.
-   Pick a model if you want a specific one; otherwise the Assistant chooses. You'll see a credit estimate before a billable run (see Generation & Credits).
-   The job goes to the Queue. Watch it there — it auto-refreshes while running and shows the full parameters.
-   When it finishes, the output becomes an asset item. Open it in File Detail to review.
-   Set a status: Selected for a candidate, Published when it's final. Use the number keys to triage fast.
-   Iterate — regenerate from the queue with tweaked parameters, or ask the Assistant to adjust ("warmer light, tighter framing"). Repeat until you're happy.

Tip: Set a **project or asset Playbook** once (house style, default sizes, model preference) and the Assistant applies it to every generation — you stop repeating yourself. See Playbooks.
