# Projects

## Overview

The Projects page is your home base. It shows every project you can access, either as visual cards or as a table — toggle between the two with the view buttons in the toolbar.

Use the **Search projects** box in the toolbar to narrow the list as you type. It matches on project name, code, and description, and applies to both the card and table views. Click the × to clear it.

## Cards & Table

Each project card shows:

-   A preview image (or a color banner from the project's accent color)
-   Project name and description
-   Start and due dates

The table view lists the same projects with Name, Description, Start, and Due columns for quick scanning.

## Creating a New Project

-   Click "New Project"
-   Enter a name and initials (both required), and optionally a description
-   Pick a project type — this seeds the starting set of libraries for you
-   Optionally set an accent color and start/due dates
-   Click Save

Tip: Choosing a project type pre-populates libraries (e.g. Characters, Environments, Props, Shots) so you're not starting from an empty structure. You can add or remove libraries later.

## Opening a Project

Click any project to open its **Project Detail** page. This also makes it your active project, so the sidebar switches to that project's navigation.
