# Costing

## Overview

Costing tracks spend across the project — both generation and Assistant usage. It shows summary KPIs at the top and detailed breakdowns underneath. Amounts here are shown in dollars; your **credit** balance lives in the header chip and wallet (see Credits & Billing).

## Summary Cards

Four KPI cards show Total Spend, This Month, Last Month, and Avg Cost / Shot. Each splits its value into generation vs AI-assistant spend.

## Breakdowns

Four tabs offer different views:

-   By Service (default) — Generation vs AI Assistant vs Resource Assistant
-   By Asset — nested: category → parent/shot → asset → queue items; rows with budgets show a green/red variance indicator
-   By Model — count and spend per model
-   By Month — count and spend per month

## Cost Display

Costs under $0.01 show 4 decimals; everything else uses 2. Zeros display as $0.00 so empty cells stay visible.
